Αυτό το μεγάλο ειδικό προσοφθάλμιο της OM-1 μπλοκάρει το εξωτερικό φως κάνοντας το σκόπευτρο πιο εύχρηστο. Επειδή είναι κατασκευασμένο από εύκαμπτο υλικό, μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί τόσο με γυμνό μάτι όσο και με γυαλιά. Ο μηχανισμός κλειδώματος συμβάλλει στην αποτροπή της εύκολης πτώσης του.
