The Arctic Freezer 8i is a compact air cooler designed as a premium replacement for stock Intel CPU coolers. Featuring a low-profile design at just 136mm in height, it fits seamlessly into compact PC cases while maintaining excellent compatibility with tall RAM modules and nearby components. The cooler utilizes two 6mm direct-touch copper heatpipes paired with 46 aluminum fins for efficient heat dissipation across Intel's latest platforms.
Equipped with a single 100mm P10 PWM fan featuring a fluid-dynamic bearing, the Freezer 8i operates nearly silently at low loads. The fan speed ranges from 200 to 2,300 RPM with PWM control, and automatically enters passive mode (0 RPM) below 5% PWM duty cycle, relying on passive cooling alone during idle periods. The cooler comes with pre-applied Arctic MX-6 thermal paste, enabling immediate installation without additional preparation. Arctic backs this product with a comprehensive 6-year warranty, demonstrating confidence in its build quality and durability.
Performance testing shows the Freezer 8i delivers respectable cooling for mainstream and mid-range processors. At 1,200 RPM, it achieves approximately 79.6°C on high-end CPUs like the Core i9-13900K, placing it competitively against more expensive solutions.
