The ASUS ZenDrive U8M is an ultra-slim external DVD burner with support for USB Type-C. The high-quality, Zen-inspired design with its fine, concentric circles shows how beautiful technology can be. The reversible Type-C interface can be used on both sides and enables ultra-fast data transfer from compatible devices. ASUS ZenDrive U8M supports M-DISC, an archival-quality storage solution designed to protect particularly valuable digital memories - such as family photos and home videos. Compared to hard drives, flash drives and other writable media, which have a lifespan of approximately 8 years, M-DISC writing technology engraves data into a patented, stone-like layer that can withstand extreme environmental conditions and allows lifelong memories and important data to be stored for more than 1,000 years. The ASUS ZenDrive U8M offers a complete, easy-to-use backup solution. The scope of delivery includes two intuitive software packages, CyberLink Power2Go 8 and PowerBackup, which not only simplify the burning process and offer an optional encryption function to protect private files, but also enable automatic backup archives to be carried out. In addition, with the help of Nero BackItUp, data from Android devices can be backed up wirelessly to the computer. Together, these powerful features protect personal information and minimize the risk of data loss, giving users peace of mind.
