The Sparkle Intel Arc A580 ORC OC Edition is a budget-focused discrete graphics card designed for entry-level 1080p gaming. Built on Intel's ACM-GM10 silicon architecture, it features 24 Xe-cores across 6 render slices, delivering approximately 19% better performance than the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 at 1080p resolution. The card is equipped with 8GB of GDDR6 memory on a 256-bit bus, providing 512 GB/s memory bandwidth—identical to the higher-tier Arc A750. Sparkle's factory overclock increases the boost clock to 2400 MHz (reference: 1700 MHz), while the base clock reaches 2000 MHz, enhancing gaming performance out of the box.
Cooling is handled by an active dual-fan design with a full aluminum backplate for structural rigidity and heat dissipation. The card measures 223 x 113 x 39.5 mm and weighs 738 grams, making it relatively compact for modern standards. Power delivery utilizes two 8-pin PCIe connectors with a total board power (TBP) of 185W, requiring a minimum 600W power supply (650W recommended). Connectivity includes three DisplayPort 2.0 outputs and one HDMI 2.0b port, supporting multi-monitor setups and maximum resolution of 7680 x 4320 pixels. The Sparkle logo features temperature-responsive RGB lighting that transitions from white (coolest) through blue, green, yellow, orange, to red (hottest).
Performance testing shows the A580 excels at 1080p gaming: Cyberpunk 2077 averages 70 FPS on ultra settings, Baldur's Gate 3 maintains 66 FPS ultra, and Fortnite reaches 150 FPS in performance mode. The card supports DirectX 12 Ultimate, OpenGL 4.6, and OpenCL 3.0, with compatibility for Windows 10, Windows 11, and Ubuntu 22.04 Linux. This is primarily a 1080p solution; 1440p gaming is possible but not recommended, and demanding titles like Starfield remain unplayable.
