The APC Back-UPS Pro BR1600MI is a premium 1600VA line-interactive uninterruptible power supply designed to protect high-performance computer systems, routers, modems, external storage devices, game consoles, and other critical electronics in home and business environments. This tower-format UPS delivers 960W of continuous output power with automatic voltage regulation (AVR) to maintain stable power delivery across a wide input voltage range (176–294V). The unit features a multifunction LCD status and control console with audible alarms for battery mode, low battery, and overload conditions.
The BR1600MI provides comprehensive outlet configuration with 8 total IEC C13 outlets: 6 outlets deliver both UPS battery backup and surge protection, while 2 outlets provide surge protection only. The unit offers 509 Joules of surge energy protection and includes network line protection (10/100/1000 Base-T). At a 100W load, the UPS delivers approximately 68 minutes of runtime, allowing sufficient time for graceful system shutdown or data backup. The sealed lead-acid battery (24V, 9.0Ah) is user-replaceable and features a typical recharge time of 16 hours with an expected service life of 3–5 years. The compact tower design measures 25 × 10 × 38.2 cm and weighs 10.9 kg, making it suitable for desktop and small office deployments.
Key features include passive cooling (45 dB acoustic level), cold start capability, automatic battery testing, and multiple international certifications (CE, A-Tick, C-Tick, EAC, GS Mark, RCM, TISI). The unit operates across 50/60 Hz input frequencies with automatic sensing and maintains output frequency synchronization to mains.
