The APC Back-UPS BE850G2-GR is a compact, entry-level uninterrupted power supply designed for home and small office environments. With 850VA/520W capacity and standby topology, it provides emergency power during outages with a typical transfer time of 6 milliseconds. The unit features 8 Schuko (Type F) outlets—6 with battery backup and surge protection, plus 2 with surge protection only—ensuring comprehensive device coverage.
This model includes dual USB charging ports (USB Type A and USB Type C) rated at 2.4A for charging mobile devices and tablets during power loss. The sealed lead-acid (VRLA) battery is user-replaceable and hot-swappable (RBC17 model), with an expected lifespan of 2-5 years and a 16-hour recharge time. Additional features include 310J surge energy protection, 45dB noise level, audible alarms for battery mode and low battery conditions, and Ethernet/RJ11 telephone line surge protection. The stepped approximation waveform output is suitable for most standard electronics but not recommended for sensitive equipment requiring pure sine wave output.
